Infant

Curriculum
Infant (Age 2 – 17 months)
Learning through exploration
Zero to Three is Small Wonder’s infant curriculum experience focused on optimum periods for learning. Infants are encouraged to explore their interest through a curriculum and pedagogy that emphasizes motor development, early learning incorporating cognition and language, sensory and social-emotional development.
These learning areas are in turn guided by 3 key principles:
Environment
The Specially Designed Environment
The transition from home to the infant centre is often a traumatic one for infants because the two environments are so different. At Small Wonder, we provide an enriching environment that is designed to create a sense of calm while providing the infants with opportunities and experiences to explore and learn at their own pace. Our inviting, home-like setting with soft elements aims to meet each infant’s special developmental needs.
